ActiBook App Privacy Policy

 

Cloud CIRCUS, Inc. (the "Company") has established this ActiBook App Privacy Policy (the "Policy") in relation to the handling of information on the ActiBook App provided by the Company as follows.

 

Article 1 (Definitions)

The terms used in this Policy are defined as follows:

 (1) The “Apps ” means the ActiBook App, which is the Company’s e-book viewer app, and the Company’s e-book viewer programme, which operates on a browser.
 (2) The “User” means a person who downloads and uses the App on a smart device and persons using the Company’s e-book viewer programme.
 (3) The “Content Provider” means any company or other organisation that enters into a separate agreement with the Company to provide the e-book content to Users.
 (4) “Browsing Information” means information that the Company automatically collects through the Apps regarding the User's operation of the Apps and browsing of e-book content. Browsing Information does not include any information that can identify individual Users.

 

Article 2 (General Provisions)
1. The Company shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, government guidelines and other relevant laws and regulations etc in order to protect information relating to the Users.
2. The Company shall comply with this Policy.

Article 3 (Browsing Information)
The Company may automatically obtain the following Browsing Information of the Users through the Apps:
 (1) File name of the e-book content opened.
 (2) User actions relating to the flipping of pages forwards and backwards
 (3) Zoom in, zoom out
 (4) Move to linked pages
 (5) Keyword search within e-book contents
 (6) Time spent browsing the e-book contents.

Article 4 (Purpose of Use)
The Company is entitled to use the Browsing Information obtained through the use of the Apps for the purposes stated below and shall not use it beyond the scope of said purposes:
 (1) For the smooth provision, maintenance and improvement of the Apps.
 (2) For the provision of features that utilize the Browsing Information.
 (3) To analyse the interests, etc. of the Users and to create statistical data in a format that does not identify individuals, or to use such data
 (4) For the development and provision of targeted advertisements of the Company's or third-party products or services.

 (5) For user authentication of the Company’s applications or programmes linked to the Apps.

 

Article 5 (Provision of Browsing Information to Content Providers)
 1. The Company may provide Browsing Information to Content Providers in a form in which individual Users cannot be identified.
 2. The Company may only provide Browsing Information that fall within the scope of items (2) to (4) of Article 4 (Purpose of Use) to Content Providers.

Article 6 (Disposal of Acquired Information)
The Company shall dispose of the acquired Browsing Information when said information is reasonably deemed unnecessary in light of the Company’s normal business operations.

Article 7 (Security Control Measures)
The Company shall take reasonable measures to prevent the loss, theft, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction of the acquired Browsing Information.

Article 8 (External Transmission of Information).

When the User uses the Apps, information about the User is automatically transmitted to external parties. The names of these external parties, the content of the information transmitted and the purposes for which the information is used are set out below:
